Consider Installing an Air Purifier This Summer

As we get closer to summer, you’re going to start relying on your air conditioner more and more often to stay cool. That means you’re probably going to close your doors and windows much of the time, in order to keep the indoor climate comfortable. Unfortunately, that also means that you’re going to be trapping a lot of airborne contaminants in the home with you. An entire summer of breathing in recycled dust, dander, germs, mold spores, pollen and other contaminants is likely to have some unpleasant health effects. That’s why you need to install an air purifier in your home. Read on to find out more about the kinds of air purifiers we offer.

Air Filters

An air filter is a tight fiber mesh, stretched across a frame and installed at a certain point in your ducts. As air flows through the filter, any contaminants it carries will become snared in the fibers. Then, all you need to do is clean the filter every few months to keep it from becoming clogged.

Ionization Purifiers

Ionization purifiers release clouds of magnetized particles during operation. As contaminants come into contact with these particles, they gain a magnetic charge of their own. The charged contaminants are then drawn to metallic plates in the purifier, which can be removed and cleaned.

UV Air Purifier

Rather than physically remove contaminants from your air supply, a UV air purifier gives off high levels of ultraviolet light. As germs and other biological contaminants come into contact with UV light, they are either sterilized or completely destroyed. A UV air purifier keeps you healthy by killing off infectious organisms in your air.
